Baseball Game Preview: Van Buren County Eagles vs. Cosby Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Van Buren County has three straight wins, Cosby has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Van Buren County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Cosby with a sharp 18-5 victory on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

For Cosby's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Bradshaw, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Matthew McMahan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Van Buren County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cosby, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1.
