Basketball Recap: Trinity Academy Titans vs. South Central Satellites
After flying high against Clinton Christian last Tuesday, Trinity Academy came back down to earth. The Titans came up short against the South Central Satellites on Friday, falling 60-38. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Satellites 16-12 in the first quarter.
Leading South Central to victory were Brody Grass and Jay Huerta. Grass dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Huerta went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points along with six boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Grass a new career-high in blocks (eight). Logan Terkovitz was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.
Trinity Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Trinity Academy and South Central will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Titans are set to square off against their familiar foe South Bend Career Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Central will challenge rival Kouts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
