Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Takes Down Ranked Carlisle

Northeastern faced Carlisle in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bobcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Thundering Herd. The Bobcats were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Thundering Herd, so the Bobcats were just returning the favor.

Dylan Zimmerman paced Northeastern's offense, picking up seven kills. Zimmerman got some help from Jacob Zambito and his 19 assists. Hugh Rogers controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 13-5-4. As for Carlisle, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against North Allegheny on the 12th. As for Carlisle, they will venture away from home to square off against Chambersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
