Softball Recap: Seven Straight Road Victories for Cocke County

Cocke County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Carter Green Hornets. That's two games straight that the Fighting Cocks have won by exactly 12 runs.

Adisen Mcnealy was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was CeeGee Mcnealy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Cocke County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carter only posted an OBP of .316.

Cocke County pushed their record up to 21-3-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.1 runs over those games. As for Carter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
