Basketball Recap: Southside Christian Find Success

On Thursday, the Southside Christian Patriots beat the Westwood Christian Warriors 52-44.

Westwood Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tripp Kirkland, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Thomas, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Southside Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Westwood Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Southside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westwood Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on February 25th.
