Baseball Recap: Charlotte S Drops Season-High Score on Pine Lake Prep

Charlotte S's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Pine Lake Prep Pride by a score of 8-4. The Stampede's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Bowen Macy made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Charlotte S is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Macy was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season.

In other batting news, Tommy Shaw was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Braden Chaney, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Charlotte S now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pine Lake Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Charlotte S will head out on the road to face off against Pro Stock Royals Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pro Stock Royals Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Charlotte S surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pine Lake Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Independence at 4:30 p.m.
