Softball Game Preview: Rosewood Eagles vs. North Duplin Rebels

Rosewood is on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while North Duplin is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will host the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rosewood's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over Union. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Nobody will forget McCandless St John's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Union's batters): she turned in a perfect game. St John has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Rosewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .727. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, North Duplin got the win against Union on Thursday by a conclusive 15-0.

Rosewood's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for North Duplin, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
