It was a good run, but Mendon unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Mendon's loss dropped their record down to 19-2-1. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Mendon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Grass Lake on the 27th. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Calumet on the 27th.
