Softball Recap: Heights Takes a Loss

Heights extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-8. They lost 17-2 to the Northwest Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Heights saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadalynn Lies, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Lies has brought in this season.

As for Northwest, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly 15 runs.

On Northwest's side, the team relied heavily on Tharon Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one triple. Those six RBI gave Thomas a new career-high. Sophia Bowers was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Heights will square off against Bishop Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Northwest, they will take on Hays in a tournament on Friday. The Grizzlies will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
