After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clint, Mountain View was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Fabens Wildcats by a score of 16-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lobos yet this season.
Jenny Torres was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Aimee Bernal was a standout: she scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Yozdette Sanchez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Mountain View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fabens only posted an OBP of .294.
