Baseball Recap: El Paso-Gridley Titans vs. Heyworth Hornets
El Paso-Gridley lost against Heyworth back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Titans took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.
El Paso-Gridley got a good showing from Landon Raymer, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Raymer hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March.
On the hitting side, El Paso-Gridley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Vandegraft, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
El Paso-Gridley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Heyworth, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10.
