Softball Recap: Wonewoc-Center's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

There's no place like home for Wonewoc-Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the North Crawford Trojans 12-0 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolves as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Brooklynn Bolton made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Emma Phillips was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Callissa Keller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Wonewoc-Center's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for North Crawford, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-24-1.

Wonewoc-Center has already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against Brookwood on the 27th. North Crawford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
