Volleyball Recap: Waynedale Comes Up Short

Waynedale suffered their biggest loss since August 23rd on Thursday. They came up short against the Norwayne Bobcats, falling 3-0. The Golden Bears have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-17.

Bella Parry paced Waynedale's offense, picking up six kills. Parry got some help from Sydnee Beckler and her 14 assists.

Waynedale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Norwayne, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Waynedale and Norwayne should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Golden Bears will take on Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (131 vs. 297). Meanwhile, Norwayne (ranked 114th) will meet Rittman (ranked 456th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
