Volleyball Recap: Lansdale Catholic Comes Up Short

If Lansdale Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Methacton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell just short of the North Penn Knights by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2016.

While Lansdale Catholic ultimately came up short, they really made North Penn work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 26-25, 15-10.

Lansdale Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lansdale Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop Shanahan at 6:15 p.m. on September 4. As for North Penn, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Central Bucks East at 6:30 p.m. The game will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
