Brookeland is 7-2 against Zavalla since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Brookeland Wildcats will square off against the Zavalla Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Brookeland is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hull-Daisetta a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The Wildcats not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Elisabeth Lundquist, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Paige Powell was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Zavalla waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 19-4 margin over the Mustangs.

McKenna Bridges was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Summer Ogden, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

Zavalla always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Brookeland back to even at 4-4-2. As for Zavalla, their record is now 3-1.

Brookeland took their victory against Zavalla in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookeland since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
