Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

Hillsboro fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Windsor on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Windsor Owls by a score of 69-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hawks have suffered since December 8, 2023.

Despite the loss, Hillsboro still got an impressive performance from Gregory Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 21 boards. That's the most points Robinson has posted since back in December of 2024. Easton Day was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Windsor, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Hillsboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-54 loss against St. Charles West on the 24th. As for Windsor, they will challenge Mehlville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
