Preview: Lyman Hall Trojans vs. Guilford Grizzlies
The Lyman Hall Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Guilford Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Lyman Hall ended up a good deal behind Law and lost 50-35. Lyman Hall has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Guilford suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 59-35 defeat at the hands of Fitch.
Despite the loss, Guilford got a solid performance out of Keira Reynolds, who scored 18 points. That was a full 51.4% of Guilford's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alexa Kukta, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Lyman Hall's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Guilford, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Lyman Hall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Guilford in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lyman Hall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
