Soccer Game Preview: Beauregard vs. Holtville

The Beauregard Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Holtville Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Beauregard lost 5-2 to Tallassee on Tuesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holtville). They never let Booker T. Washington Magnet get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The win snapped Holtville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record. As for Beauregard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Beauregard might still be hurting after the 7-2 loss they got from Holtville when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Beauregard was down 5-0.
