Volleyball Preview: Two Teams That Just Survived Nail-Biters Get Together

The Port Gibson Blue Waves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jefferson County Jchs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Coming off a road loss, Port Gibson was happy to be home on Thursday where their crowd gave them all the motivation they needed. They had just enough and edged out Amite County 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-100) Port Gibson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 11-25, 28-26, 25-22, 21-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Jefferson County can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They skirted past Hazlehurst 3-2.
