Softball Recap: Alcoa Beats Halls for Their Seventh Straight Win

Alcoa entered their tilt with Halls on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Red Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-1 last Sunday.

The team relied heavily on Halle Bailey, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddy Stewart, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Alcoa pushed their record up to 10-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Halls, their loss dropped their record down to 17-4-1.
