AA Region III recap September 17, 2013

Columbia lost to Daniel 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Fairfield Central led AA Region III in scoring this week by notching 50 points on Chester. DeAndre Belton threw for 127 yards and ran for 87 yards during the win.

The Griffins' dynamic duo of Belton and Tyren White proved to be unstoppable against the Cyclones, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kewaun Squirewell helped Fairfield Central's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.

Peter Easaw was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 161 yards as Keenan topped Anthony Sterling's team. Teammate Kendrick Gathers added to the ground attack by rushing for 50 yards.

White was the best wideout in the league this week as the Griffins bested the Cyclones. White racked up 4 receptions for 69 yards.

Belton put up the best numbers through the air as Fairfield Central bested Chester.

Pelion made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,284 from 9,851. The advance stemmed from a 40-20 victory over Johnson last week.
