Preview: Hooker vs. Beaver
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Hooker. On Friday they take on Beaver at 7:00 PM. Hooker are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Beaver are stumbling in off of five consecutive losses.
It was all tied up at the half for Hooker and Fairview last Friday, but Hooker stepped up in the second half. Hooker took their game against Fairview 24-14. Senior Donavan Yarbrough was the offensive standout of the match for Hooker, as he accumulated 166 passing yards and punched in 1 rushing TD. Yarbrough has been a consistent playmaker for Hooker as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Beaver lost to Oklahoma Bible, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-49. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Everything came up roses for Hooker against Beaver the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 43-6 victory. Will Hooker repeat their success, or does Beaver have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
