Basketball Recap: 19 Straight Home Wins for New Manchester

It's playoff time, and New Manchester had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Evans Knights 64-48 on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Evans lost, don't look at Chabria Tate. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Tate is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Quiller, who posted eight points.

New Manchester pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Evans, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-4.

Looking ahead, New Manchester will square off against Coffee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Coffee will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something New Manchester surely won't give up without a fight. Evans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
