Basketball Game Preview: Fairmont Golden Tornadoes vs. Mullins Auctioneers

The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes will take on the Mullins Auctioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Fairmont's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Mullins has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Friday, Fairmont strolled past St. Pauls with points to spare, taking the game 59-43.

Fairmont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Duran, who posted nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Dial, who earned 12 points and five boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Fairmont was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Mullins was beaten by Wilson 64-25 on Tuesday.

Fairmont's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mullins, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
