Basketball Recap: South Pontotoc Victorious

South Pontotoc won the last time they faced Ingomar and things went their way on Tuesday too. The South Pontotoc Cougars managed a 51-45 win over the Ingomar Falcons.

Despite the loss, Ingomar had strong showings from Jack Denton, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards, and Copper Ball, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points. Those 11 points gave Ball a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Bost, who posted six points.

South Pontotoc is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Ingomar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.

South Pontotoc will challenge Byhalia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ingomar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-39 victory against Myrtle on the 8th.
