Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Metro RVT Knights vs. Wakefield Memorial Warriors

Northeast Metro RVT is 0-5 against Wakefield Memorial since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Knights will square off against the Warriors at 4:15 p.m. Northeast Metro RVT has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northeast Metro RVT is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Greater Lawrence Tech. Even if the Knights couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Wakefield Memorial had just enough and edged out Watertown 3-2 on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Northeast Metro RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wakefield Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5-1.

Northeast Metro RVT suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Wakefield Memorial in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
