It was fun while it lasted, but Colby's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Tuesday. They took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoxie Indians. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Colby fell to 6-1. As for Hoxie, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Colby will head out to take on Hugoton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hoxie, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Decatur Community at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
