Basketball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Beats Harmony School of Advancement for Their Third Straight Victory

Founders Classical Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from D'Angelo Durosier. The Founders Classical Academy Voyagers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-55 victory over the Harmony School of Advancement Hawks on Friday thanks in part to Durosier, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Founders Classical Academy's points.

Shiloh Pena was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Founders Classical Academy's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

Founders Classical Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Harmony School of Advancement, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Founders Classical Academy will square off against YES Prep Northwest at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harmony School of Advancement, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th.
