Tuscola waltzed into their match on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Franklin Panthers. Given Tuscola's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Franklin are ranked 286th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tuscola's one-goal win came courtesy of Anna Kate Sutton, which was the first she's scored this season.

Tuscola's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five contests. As for Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8-1.
