Softball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee's last matchup with Jefferson County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Chiefs lost 7-0 to the Patriots. The Chiefs have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Jefferson County, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15-1.

Looking ahead, Cherokee will venture away from home to face off against Grainger at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson County, they will host Morristown-Hamblen East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
