Baseball Game Preview: Plattsburgh Hornets vs. Beekmantown Eagles

For the second straight game, Plattsburgh will face off against Beekmantown. The Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Eagles at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last four games Plattsburgh has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Plattsburgh's win against Beekmantown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-3 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Dominic DeAngelo was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Baker, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Plattsburgh's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Beekmantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
