Soccer Recap: Regina's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

If Regina was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Don Bosco on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Regals came up short against the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks on Saturday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Regina can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Waverly-Shell Rock are ranked eighth).

Regina moved to 8-4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Regina didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Janesville on the 10th. Waverly-Shell Rock has also already played their next contest (against Davenport Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
