It was a good run, but Princeton Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs by a score of 29-26. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 252nd).

Princeton Day's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Hopewell Valley Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.

Princeton Day will take on Delran at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hopewell Valley Central, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Moorestown at 5:00 p.m. on February 20th.
