Soccer Recap: Agua Fria Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Agua Fria fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against the Deer Valley Skyhawks by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Owls found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: five Agua Fria players were handed yellow cards.

Daniel Elzy and Darryl Taylor scored all three of Agua Fria's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Agua Fria's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Deer Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Agua Fria wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Estrella Foothills on the 27th. Deer Valley has also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Peoria on the 27th.
