Bridgeport is 8-2 against Fairmont Senior since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Polar Bears at 6:00 p.m. Bridgeport has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ritchie County hit Bridgeport with a 12-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 15-0 to the Rebels. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rebels since on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fairmont Senior, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Trinity Christian 16-15. The Polar Bears haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Abigail Shuck was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Stewart, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fairmont Senior kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bridgeport dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Fairmont Senior, they now have a winning record of 10-9-1.

Everything went Bridgeport's way against Fairmont Senior in their previous meeting back in March, as Bridgeport made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
