While Cambridge City Lincoln's win against Union City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Eagles had just enough and edged out the Indians 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Samantha Bell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Paige Pitcock was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

With the victory, Cambridge City Lincoln broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10. As for Union City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge City Lincoln will head out to face off against Hagerstown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Union City, they are taking a road trip to challenge Knightstown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.1 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
