Southwest Guilford is 9-1 against Southeast Guilford since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Southwest Guilford didn't have quite enough to beat Rabun Gap-Nacoochee and fell 62-60.

Meanwhile, Southeast Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 54-43 to Ragsdale.

Despite the defeat, Southeast Guilford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Andreas Muirhead shot 60% from the field on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Muirhead now owns an excellent 48% field goal percentage. Cameron Hobbs also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Southeast Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Southwest Guilford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Southwest Guilford didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Southeast Guilford in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
