Recap: Assumption Academy vs. La Salette Academy Lions
Assumption Academy were the 40-31 winner over the La Salette Academy Lions when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Assumption Academy received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 51-33 to La Salette Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Assumption Academy has scored all season.
La Salette Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Hall, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Prather, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Assumption Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for La Salette Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Assumption Academy on the road again on Monday and play against Summit Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for La Salette Academy, they will take on Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
