Grafton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Jamestown on Friday. The Clippers blew past the Eagles 9-3. Considering the Clippers have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Grafton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Jamestown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
