Bishop Gorman faced Arbor View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Gaels fell just short of the Aggies by a score of 7-6. The Gaels' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Bishop Gorman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MAKAMAE EUGENIO, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another was SAMANTHA LEFEVER, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Bishop Gorman's loss dropped their record down to 13-9-1. As for Arbor View, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bishop Gorman and Arbor View will both be playing Faith Lutheran the next time they take the field. The Aggies will host the Crusaders at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Gaels will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
