Volleyball Recap: West Boca Raton Takes a Loss

West Boca Raton lost against Cardinal Gibbons back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulls lost 3-0 to the Chiefs. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Cardinal Gibbons scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-23.

Eduardo Prado paced West Boca Raton's offense, picking up eight kills. Prado got some help from Ethan Amit and his 23 assists. Prado also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Ithalo Souza, racking up four apiece.

West Boca Raton's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

West Boca Raton will venture away from home to challenge Olympic Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will host Cypress Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lightning will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight.
