Softball Recap: Forestview Comes Up Short

Forestview was the 17-4 winner over East Gaston when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Forestview Jaguars took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Gaston Warriors on Friday.

Lily Cabe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Kaitlyn Baker was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Forestview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Gaston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview will host Cherryville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Gaston, they will face off against Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Highland Tech's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
