While Widefield's win against Sand Creek wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gladiators narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Scorpions 1-0. Widefield wouldn't have won without Cooper Schubert, who scored the game-winner.

Widefield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Widefield will head out to challenge Pueblo West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sand Creek, they will venture away from home to take on Vista Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
