Basketball Recap: Wadena-Deer Creek's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Wadena-Deer Creek's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bertha-Hewitt Bears with a sharp 60-37 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The victory got Wadena-Deer Creek back to even at 4-4. As for Bertha-Hewitt, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wadena-Deer Creek will host Henning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Henning's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Bertha-Hewitt, they will welcome Sebeka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sebeka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.6 points per game this season.
