Baseball Game Preview: Astoria Fishermen vs. Ontario Tigers

For the second straight game, Astoria will face off against Ontario. Astoria will square off against Ontario at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games Astoria has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Astoria is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since April 2, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Ontario by a score of 13-11.

Joey Gramlich and Colt Kelly did some serious damage despite the final result: Gramlich scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Kelly scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Sam Schacher, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Astoria now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ontario, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
