Volleyball Recap: Homer Falls Short Against Ranked Kenai Central + How To Watch

Homer faced Kenai Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mariners lost 3-0 to the Kardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mariners have suffered against the Kardinals since November 2, 2024.

Homer's offense was headlined by Reilly Sue Baker and Swift Blackstock, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Alysha Nyvall and her 20 assists.

Homer's loss dropped their record down to 30-17-3. As for Kenai Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-15-5 record this season.
