Softball Recap: Hollins Royals vs. Clearwater Tornadoes
It was a good run, but Hollins unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Clearwater Tornadoes by a score of 8-6. Hollins has not had much luck with Clearwater recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Even though they lost, Hollins didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with seven strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clearwater only tossed three.
On Clearwater's side, Sydney Wilhelm was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadah Nicholls, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Hollins' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8. As for Clearwater, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hollins will take on Boca Ciega at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
