Baseball Recap: Bear River Find Success

On Tuesday Bear River's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Truckee Wolverines. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bruins also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2021.

Cooper Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaden Nicholls, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Brayden Estrada also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bear River's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Bear River has already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Twelve Bridges on the 7th. As for Truckee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-10 win against Spring Creek on the 6th.
