Basketball Game Preview: Klein Collins Tigers vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes

Klein Collins and Klein Cain are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Klein Collins Tigers will be playing at home against the Klein Cain Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Klein Collins has three straight wins, Klein Cain has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Klein Collins beats Klein Cain with 62 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Klein Collins came out on top against Magnolia by a score of 62-51 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Klein Cain was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 54-53 to Klein Forest. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 912th, while the Eagles are ranked 433rd).

Klein Collins pushed their record up to 11-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Klein Cain, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.

Klein Collins strolled past Klein Cain in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 59-42. Will Klein Collins repeat their success, or does Klein Cain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
