Softball Game Preview: Portsmouth Clippers vs. Exeter Blue Hawks

Portsmouth is 0-4 against Exeter since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Clippers will welcome the Blue Hawks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Portsmouth 3, Exeter 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Portsmouth didn't have quite enough to beat Pinkerton and fell 2-1. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Exeter). They blew past Alvirne 18-2 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Hawks in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won seven in a row.

Portsmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Exeter, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.
